BOMBA Hits the Runway at Ribeljoni’s Alternative Fashion Show
Bomba took the catwalk at the Ribeljoni fashion show, dropping three new surf t shirts along the way!
Three new tees. One catwalk. A very loud summer signal.
Yesterday, BOMBA walked in Ribeljoni’s fashion show, surrounded by super local alternative brands, artists, photographers, creators, friends, fans, and people wearing things with actual personality.
We put our clothes on a catwalk.
Which is funny, because BOMBA usually belongs closer to wax, salt, beer, sunburn, and someone shouting “film this” before doing something stupid.
But there we were. Lights on. Tees out. People watching.
Three bombs dropped
The main thing: we dropped three new t-shirts for summer.
One of them is for Riviera Bay, because Riviera is not just a beach. It is the sand on your flip flops, car park stress, sunset swims, tiny waves that become huge stories, and half of Malta pretending they “just went for a quick dip”.
It deserved a shirt.
This was a big night for us. New merch, new energy, new little era. BOMBA started as a surf mag with too many ideas and not enough sleep. Now we are somehow sending clothes down a runway and calling it work.
The fact that we were invited was a tickle in itself. It's a huge moment for the brand. To be welcomed by the alternative fashion community, hearing the MCs shout our name, and walking to the beat of music chosen specifically for the brand, honestly, it’s surreal. Were we nervous up on the catwalk? Not at all. Why should we? The brief to the models was simple: be yourself. Do things naturally. And just put one foot in front of the other like you always do. And they did, they rocked it, and Bomba felt easy, natural, approachable and surf. Mike, Yas and Ryan walked with me, and we fit right in where perhaps we shouldn’t! And that's the beauty of this brand. Wearing it makes you stand out, while blending in at the same time.
Big love to Ribeljoni for making space for local brands to show up properly. Thank you to the organizers, artists, photographers, models, collaborators, creators, friends, fans, and every person who came through, took photos, made noise, wore something weird, or made the night feel alive. We loved your creations, and took notes!
The three new tees are here.
Summer just got a bit more exciting!
