Costumes Meet Surf at Turtle Bay’s Halloween Benefit
Turtle Bay’s sixth annual Halloween Surf Off returns October 31, 2026, with costumed surfing and proceeds benefiting the Kahuku High School Surf Team.
Turtle Bay’s Halloween surf tradition is set to return Saturday, October 31, bringing costumed competitors to the North Shore for its sixth annual Surf Off. Presented by Jamie O’Brien Surf Experience, the afternoon event will welcome surfers of different ages and abilities, with proceeds supporting the Kahuku High School Surf Team’s 2026/27 season.
Costumes in the lineup
Now in its sixth year, the Turtle Bay Halloween Surf Off invites participants to bring Halloween costumes into the lineup. Organizers describe the gathering as an opportunity for surfers of varied ages and abilities to take part, with creativity and performance both part of the event’s appeal.
A panel of celebrity judges is expected to evaluate the surfers and recognize standout performances. The event’s costume-focused format gives competitors a chance to express themselves in the water as well as showcase their surfing.
Supporting kahuku's future
Proceeds from the Surf Off will benefit the Kahuku High School Surf Team, helping support the team’s 2026/27 season. The event brings community participation and a local school sports fundraiser together at Turtle Bay.
