Surf Trip on the Big Screen at Big Ron's

Pink lights. Loud laughs. Heavy wipeouts on the big screen.

That was the scene at Big Ron's when BOMBA rolled in and did what BOMBA does best: surf stories, chaos, and community, all packed into one night.

The movie was Ace Fuerteventura.

Not a glossy surf fantasy. Not a slow-mo highlight reel designed to win festivals. Just our crew loose in Fuerteventura, chasing bombs, getting absolutely worked by wipeouts, eating like kings, and making questionable decisions after dark. Real trips. Real bruises. Real laughs.

The place filled up fast. Beers flowing. Heads nodding. That feeling you get when you realise this thing we’re building is bigger than just clips and captions.

Bomba events bring the swell

This is no longer a coincidence, but a tradition. Every single event we call brings in a swell, and all of us scored at GT during the day. I trialled my new Hayden Shapes on the mellower morning waves, riding longer waves than ever, using a huge 7" central fin, and as the bigger sets came in, down swooped the crew like flies to candy. Big stuff followed from the Brazilian crew who keep hunting this winter!

The Film

Huge credit where it’s due: Hadrien Meyer went full mad scientist on this one.
The movie was split into tight, punchy episodes, each with its own rhythm, mood, and energy. Clean edits. Perfect pacing. Enough chaos to keep it human. It felt like being back on the trip, minus the reef rash. His music choice was seductive, and typefaces used were artistically perfect. Ace Fuerteventura, what a movie!

You could hear it in the room: every heavy slam got a wince, every makeable section got a cheer. That’s how you know it landed.

Pinked-Out Ron’s

We pimped Big Ron’s BOMBA-style. Flags everywhere. Screens glowing. The place temporarily rebranded into a surf bunker somewhere between the Med and the Canaries.

And right therem, no soft launch, no countdown timer, we launched the new shiny website to the fam.
