Last night at POPP Social in Sliema, the community came together for something special — a fundraiser in support of Gaza’s surfers. Under the warm glow of the courtyard lights, we screened Gaza Surf Club, a powerful film about resilience, hope, and the ocean’s unbreakable pull.
Surfers, friends, and complete strangers packed the outdoor space, donating generously and sipping on our special “BOMBA Cocktail”, with all profits going straight to help the Gaza surf community. Together, we raised hundreds — a small but meaningful ripple of support for those chasing waves in impossible circumstances.
As the film ended, the vibes rolled on with good tunes from our “No Shakas” playlist, and the night turned into a celebration of unity, compassion, and the surf spirit that connects us all — from Malta to Gaza and beyond.
A special mention to local surfer Chiara who get in touch with the surfers of Gaza. And a massive thanks to everyone who showed up, donated, and played their part in a magical evening. You proved again that the surf community isn’t just about waves — it’s about looking out for each other, wherever we are.
