Wave of Winter: Bomba Video Competition

Winter doesn’t scare us.
Cold water, grey skies, heavier swell, that’s where the real stories live.

This winter, BOMBA Surf Magazine is calling on the community to capture those raw, unfiltered moments and throw them into the spotlight with our Wave of Winter Video Comp 💣

From now until midnight at the end of May, we want to see your best winter surf clips: the makes, the slams, the shaky phone footage that still makes your heart race when you watch it back.

This isn’t about perfection.
It’s about showing up.

🎥 How to Enter

It’s simple:

• 📱 Send us your surf clips — video only, no photos
• ❄️ Clips must be from winter sessions
• 🏷️ Tag @bomba_surfmag in your video
• ⏰ Entries close midnight, end of May

That’s it. No forms. No stress.

🫡 The Rules

• Phone footage is totally fine — quality doesn’t matter
• Wipeouts are welcome (sometimes preferred 😅)
• Every single entry will be shared — yes, all of them
• 🏆 One top prize for the Wave of Winter winner – One prize for the dude and one prize for the dudette!

This comp is about energy, commitment, and winter grit — not algorithms or editing skills.

All submitted clips will be shown at a BOMBA Movie Night in June, where the crowd decides which wave truly owned the winter. Cold beers, loud reactions, shared stoke, exactly how surfing should be celebrated.
