At our last Wave Waste clean-up at Għajn Tuffieħa, together with our friends Zibel (local legends) and Singita, we pulled all sorts of junk off the sand. Plastics, bottles, nets, wrappers… the usual suspects. But buried under it all, we found something different: a bucket hat.
It was dirty, salty, sandy, and beat up, but not broken. So instead of binning it, we cleaned it, patched it up, and stamped it with BOMBA. Just like that, the first-ever BOMBA bucket hat was born.
Not ordered online. Not fresh out of some factory. Straight from the beach. From waste to wave.
For us, it’s more than just a hat. It’s a little reminder of what can happen when we look at trash differently. With some care (and a bit of style), junk becomes treasure.
